What Time Is It?
You know the drill. The only question to ask is the same one as always. Who will be the lucky band? It could be ANYBODY. Are you in suspense yet? Good. Let’s keep it that way. I’m just kidding. The lucky band for this week will be Mute Math!

MUTE MATH BIOGRAPHY:
First of all, Mute Math has also been portrayed as MUTEMATH and MuteMath. Second of all, my favorite song by them is obviously “Electrify” considering that its number ten on my list. The band was started when Paul Meany and Darren King began a “long-distance” musical correspondence”. Meany had been a member of the band Earthsuit previous to their meeting. He was working in New Orleans whereas King was working in Springfield, Missouri. They eventually put together enough songs by sending CDs back and forth to convince King to move to New Orleans; that way, it would be easier to start an actual band. Guitarist Greg Hill and bassist Roy Mitchell-Cardenas were added to Mute Math. Working together with lead singer Paul Meany and drummer/programmer Darren King, they completed their first compositions in 2003. The EP was launched by Teleprompt Records in 2004, and its success allowed for Warner Bros. to reissue the EP in 2005. Mute Math completed their self-titled debut album later that year, but legal problems arose between Teleprompt Records and Warner Bros. Warner Bros. ended up winning and Mute Math ended up with a more beneficial contract. “Typical” was their most popular single, topping the charts in 2007. However, Armistice was their biggest hit. This album was released in 2010, and they went on tour with it. Armistice Live was released in 2010. It was recorded from one of their many live concerts. The album that has been released most recently was Odd Soul in 2011. I love Mute Math, and now “Electrify” is stuck in my head. This is just great…
