I’m going to try something new this week. There will just be a top ten list and something new. If you would like to see the concert dates just look at last week’s post. That’s enough information for now. Here’s the surprise!

Opinion Section:

TA DAAAA! This is my surprise for you. As you’ve probably figured out by now, I’m a very opinionated person. This section is about alternative music compared to what EVERYONE else is listening to. Also, this is where I’ll discuss my thoughts on this situation.

First of all, I really appreciate when I find people singing songs that I know and love. However, by then the song has already been out for almost a year, and it’s now being over-played. Then, some groups aren’t my favorite, but people want to sing their songs all of the time. Ugh! School dances are a little iffy as well. I don’t know half of the songs that they play, and it’s a little awkward. Oh well, they play a few that I know.

I feel that there should be a radio station that plays all different genres of music. That way, people could hear many different songs. You never know, you might just like a song that you never would’ve heard otherwise! This would be like me hearing a country song and liking it (unlikely but hey).

Alternative music isn’t really that different from pop, rap, and all that jazz. It doesn’t swear as much, there’s more singing than talking (rapping), and the songs have a different style. They seem more…laid back I guess. Personally, I’m not a huge rap fan, so I’m being just a little bit biased. Then again, I’m writing an alternative music blog…OF COURSE this is going to be biased.

Just to sum up my opinion that I could go on about for hours, people should listen to a variety of music. Alternative music is still the best, but that’s to be expected from me. Whoops! Until next time…
