It’s biography time! This lucky band for this week is
Paramore. I LOVE this band! The first song that I heard from them was “Decode”.
My favorite songs by Paramore at the moment are “Monster”, “Now”, and
“Crushcrushcrush”. Out of all of the artists on my iPod, I believe that I have
the most songs for Paramore. I just love her voice because it can be soft and
lyrical, or it can be loud and demanding. Her voice sounds great either way.
Paramore
Biography:
Paramore was formed in Franklin, Tennessee after Josh and Zac
Farro met Hayley Williams at their private school. In 2004, the band performed
together for the first time. The band consisted of five people at this point. Hayley
Williams (lead singer), Josh Farro (lead guitarist), Zac Farro (drummer),
Jeremy Davis (bassist), and Jason Bynum (rhythm guitarist) were the original
five members. Paramore’s 2005 debut album was All We Know Is Falling. This album became number thirty on
Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart. Riot,
however, grabbed a spot on the Top Twenty Chart in 2007. This album contained
two hit singles as well as their corresponding music videos. Between the releases
of these two albums, the members of Paramore changed slightly. Hunter Lamb, for
example, joined the band in 2005 as a guitarist, but he left in 2007. At the 2008 Grammy Awards, Paramore was
nominated for the Best Artist Award. In the summer of 2008, the band performed
in their fourth Warped Tour. The members have changed yet again. Josh and Zac
Farro left Paramore last year, leaving Hayley Williams and Jeremy Davis as the remaining
original members. The band consists of bassist, Jeremy Davis, guitarist, Taylor
York, and lead singer, Hayley Williams. Hayley is often praised for her strong
singing voice and for her songwriting. Yay Paramore!
